How to make cementing mug ?

To make a cementing mug you will need………..
  • Long skinny wood (Needs to be 20 centimeters for each 4 woods)
  • WoodWorking bench and saw
  • Nails + Hammer
  • Cardboard + Hooks
  • Sellotape to stable your art on the cardboard
  • Container to mix your cement in
  • Cement
  • Mug
  • Paintbrush + Paint

Making a cementing mug might not seem as easy as it looks and when you are taking place in the process you can sometimes struggle. It can be made as flower pots but leaned on something hard or it can me made for putting things in . So you can do whatever you want with your cementing mug and if you would really like to know how to make a cementing mug , then follow these steps.

First of all you will need to measure your long skinny thin wood into 4 pieces but they need to 20cm each . Then you will saw your wood into your 4 pieces on your Woodworking bench , but if you wouldn’t like mess dropping on the floor , it would be a good idea to place a cardboard underneath so they can all plot on that .Once that’s done you will need to hammer your woods with nails into a frame so your cement is a squared shape.

Secondly you would get your piece of cardboard and sellotape your hook in the middle top of your cardboard . Then you will place your frame over the hook so half of the hook should be on the outside of the frame and the other half of the hook should be in the inside of the hook . Once that’s done you will sellotape the outside of your frame to the cardboard so it will be stabled .

Thirdly you will get your ice-cream container and dip 2 ½ cups of cement and then add 1 cup of water . You will then mix it gently until all cement has been turned into like a cake mixture . If it is too watery then you will get ½ a cup and just pour bit by bit till you can see it’s not that watery . You will pour the mixture into your frame and quickly dip your mug into the cement . Then you will leave it to dry for 2-3 days for your cement to be perfect .

Fourthly after it has dried up you will need to unstick the sellotape off the frame and the hook . Then you might have to be a little bit rough to pull the frame off . If you see little cement popping out from the square that looks abit like icicles , then you can take off one wood from your frame and use the edges to get it off .  Once that is done you will maybe have to take it outside and choose a paint color to paint for piece of artwork . Then let it dry for 2 or 1 day and it will be ready to use .

In conclusion making a cementing mug is really hard , but when  you get to start making it , it becomes fun for you . If your cementing mug looks not that good  you can click on this link to show you what it probably should look like.
