being bored.

E-asttle - Math results

So for my maths results I got a 4P which is less than my other score. I thought
I would of done better but I think it's because the thought of me thinking it's
going to be the holidays, took over my mind. So for my next goal, I will be
aiming for a 5B or 5P.

Being hated all his life

Being hated all his life

A young boy had rocks being thrown at him , injuries caused on him and words said to him . He had desired for a better life. It was like he was a punching bag and everyone could hurt all the time, it was like he was invisible who people barely talked to . Most words he has ever said was ahhh, ouch , stop , please , stop hurting me and other things that sounds like you're being punished. He’s been saying those words everyday of his life and now that he has grown up he couldn’t ask for a better life.

Kiwi Kid’s News - Jupiter’s Moon spewing water jets

jupiter
New evidence has shown that Jupiter’s icy moon Europa throws jets of water out into space. Scientists first reported the behaviour in 2013 using the Hubble telescope, but have now made a follow-up sighting. It is significant because Europa is one of the most likely places to find microbial life beyond Earth because of its huge ocean of liquid water. Flying through the jets with an instrumented spacecraft would be an effective way to test the possibility. Scientists are also looking at the possibility of attempting to capture a sample of water and bring it back to Earth for more detailed biological analysis. The suggestion is that the jets reach several hundred kilometres in height before then falling back onto Europa. The calculation based on the 2013-reported work estimated a volume of water equivalent to an Olympic swimming pool could be being spewed into space about every eight minutes.

If there was no power

Kuraia

If there was no power

If there is no power make sure you have torches and batteries in your emergency kit. Stay tuned with the radio to keep up with all the latest news as well as stocking up on food that doesn’t need to be cooked or something you can cook your food on like a bbq. Lastly when the power goes out eat all the fridge food first before your cupboard food .

Things you need when there’s no power :
Torch/Batteries
Radio
Pre cooked food
(Be sure to eat refrigerated food first)

And if there’s any other thing you think is best to have when there’s no power then keep it in mind.

Apple pastry

Kuraia

IMG_20160909_112940.jpg

We all gathered in room 8 to see what we were making. There was pastry , tremendous apples , brown sugar , baking paper and essentials like knives and spoons.

I was considering that we were planning on making apple pies but really it was just the same as apple pies but designing it on how you want it. As you can see, this was my boring design . I am not artistic but you probably already knew it when you saw my design.

As I took a piece of my apple pastry , Blahhhhhhh. It wasn’t so satisfying . Apples didn’t really match with pastry. The juice from the apples came out of the apple and it was mixed with the pastry but out of this dish I thought that plane pastry was more tempting than apple pastry.

Anyways it was enjoyable cooking it.

Letter to Mr Hendricks

Glen Innes School
Glen Innes, Auckland
27.07.2016

Dear Mr Hendricks

As you know the seniors will be having a mini olympics and instead of the teachers organising it, the year 7 and 8 students would like to organise this event.  If you think we are irresponsible and immature to organise this event, think again. Just give us the chance to show you just how responsible we can be.

Most of the times, teachers don’t really put out the kind of sports we like. So if you let us organise the mini olympics we would know the right sports to have and the students will have lots of fun as this should be a fun day, isn’t it?

Organising the mini olympics would boost our fitness level towards sports camp and it would leave you with less stress to worry about. Therefore, teachers should not have to worry too much and they can even take part in the games.

Finally , if you give us the chance we can practise our leadership skills which we use in the future when we grow up.

I can assure you that we have so much to offer the school only if you give us chance to do it.

Sincerely
Kuraia

Today in room 7 I have been playing a game called Number patterns when I had to find the patterns of the blank number. It was 50% hard and 50% easy but I was able to finish the game and collect 4 Bio-Rods as well . This game did teach me how to find the numebr patterns of any digit number and hopefully next time I can collect more than 4 bio-rods.

Digestive System

What is a digestive system?
It is a group of organs that help to digest the food we eat.

An explanation for each organ that involves.
Mouth - The mouth is where it starts
Tooth - Your teeth is what helps munch up all the food.
Esophagus - Is a tube for the food to go down to your stomach.

Small intestines - A tube for nutrients to travel through then into your anus .

How your system Works?

It will all start of when you eat something and then you will swallow it down through your esophagus and into your stomach . Then there will be a thing called GI tract which is a juice that breaks down the food we eat but if it is unable to be broken down then it will got through your big intestines and the food that is able to be crushed will go through your small intestines and then it will end up coming through your anus and that will be the time you need to go toilet.
