Social Responsibility - Physical Education

What is social responsibility?
Social responsibility is the value and attitude that back
up students in making the right choice or responsible
decisions about behaviors and participation in physical
education/health and in their personal lives as well.

What level were you during our lesson and why?
The level I was during our last lesson was a level 3.
I believe I was a level 3 during this activity because I
showed respect to my teacher and other fellow
classmates, I did independent work activities and I was
able to work with others to settle an argument. I did not
admit to my mistakes as I didn’t make any on that day.
I was honest and fair and I don’t think any choices were
made since there were none, other than being awake and
listening to the teacher and cooperating.

What could you do in order to improve your level or
social responsibility for next lesson?
A few things I could do in order to improve my social
responsibility is working with everyone in the class,
complimenting each other, and providing assistance
to the teacher or a fellow classmate of mine.

Do you have any questions about your learning you
still need answered?
How am I able to improve my social responsibility independently
without having to participate in any physical activity with the school?

Ultimate Frisbee - Physical Education

Explain today’s activity(Ultimate Frisbee)
Today in p.e we played an activity called Ultimate Frisbee.
The rules were:
- If you drop the Frisbee, it’s the defense ball
- Not more than 2 steps is allowed if you have the Frisbee in your hands
- You can’t run with the Frisbee
- You must be over the line to get a score
But before we played, our p.e teacher Mr Cunnard gave us a little
bit of time to practise throwing the Frisbee. We practised for around
5 minutes and then got into 2 teams, non-bands vs bands. We were
first to try and catch the Frisbee so the game could begin. There was
heaps of teamwork during this activity but unfortunately my team lost.
Although, it was a good game and it was a good motivation for me so
when we play again, I will know exactly what to do and hopefully, my
team would win this time.

What level did you display
During the activity, I believe I displayed a level 2

Give an example of how you showed the above level
I believe this because I listened and followed the directions and showed
a bit of respect, except for when I entered the rec and straight away
played basketball instead of practising to throw the Frisbee. I participated
in the activity, even when the teacher wasn’t looking and I made sure I
was actively involved and willing to take part.

What do you need to do to reach the next level. 3,4,5...

In order to reach the next level, I must be able to show respect all the
time from when I walk into the rec until the time I leave. I must compliment
others instead of putting them down and have respect for the equipment
whenever I make mistakes. I also need to show high levels of skill during
the activity and participate in all physical activities that occur with high interest.

Beef Soup - Cooking Class

Today in cooking class, my classmates and I made beef soup. The ingredients
we needed were beef, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, plain flour, and
cups of water needed for now and then. First we diced the meat and then all
the vegetables including broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, and onions . The next
step was to add 2 cups of water in a pan and add the meat and vegetables. We
were able to add some salt to the mixture just to add a bit of flavor. The next
step was to add ⅓ a cup of flour into a bowl and add ½ a cup of water. We
stirred it until it was properly mixed and then added it in the pan. We kept it
in the pan until it was properly cooked. We added more flavors as well like
mixed herbs, Tuscan seasoning etc. As you can see, at the top is the finished
product of what we made today.

Chicken soup with Vegetables: Food Tech

Today in Cooking Class my partners and I made chicken soup
with vegetables. The ingredients included chicken, onion, carrots,
mushroom, cabbage and vermicelli. First, we sliced and diced the
chicken and onions and threw it into the pot to boil it with 2 cups
of water. We then diced the carrots, mushroom and onions and
added it to the pot. After a couple of minutes we threw in the
vermicelli and waited for more than 20 - 25 minutes to finish. When it's
ready, the potato would be broken down and the water would be thick.
The photo is a picture of our making.

Marine Reserve: Action Project

During our trip to Goat Island there were many differences I noticed
between my local marine area and goat island. Point England waters
were filled with rubbish including its own surrounding areas. The water
wasn’t so clear for our eyes to see through and not many living organisms
decided to make point England there home. Where as for goat island, there
were many snappers, kina’s and the water was as clean as the paint work
on a Mercedes Benz. Comparing these two marine areas together, point
England needs serious help. Imagine all the living creatures living in point
England that have died from our cause, pollution. We litter our rubbish
anywhere thinking it would do no harm to the environment. But look where’s
that’s gotten us. I’m not saying that everybody litters but I’m also not saying
that I don’t litter myself. We need to change for the better of our environment
and not just for point England. All over the world. If us humans want to live a
happy life, then caring for the environment and the sea is a start towards it.
